Below is a video of Coach Marbut on the first day of practice for the season. The transitions are terrible and it appears like Donnie has restless torso syndrome, a condition I just made up. Nothing too earth shatteringly interesting, but still worth the watch, even if only to get you excited about baseball.
For those of you who do not know, I am one of the two baseball beat writers for the Daily Evergreen here at WSU. I (plan) to attend every single home baseball game this season just like last year, the only reason I might miss a game would be sickness.
If you want to follow the home games and don't want to use the GameTracker that can range in quality from terrible to non-functional, follow me on Twitter while I live tweet all the games. Outside of games my Twitter account will provide you with player and coach quotes, links to stories in the Evergreen and the blog as well as other WSU sports news and commentary.
Here on the blog I will be posting series recaps and for interesting games, single game recaps. Also, after games I always interview Coach Marbut and one or two players; after I get home I'll type up these interviews and post the text/audio on the blog.
In the next couple weeks I will have a season preview for pitching and hitting as well as a quick post about the effect the BBCOR bat standard had on college baseball last year.
Honestly, college baseball gets little attention and most other Cougar sports blogs out there only dedicate a small amount of time to the WSU team. The only other blog I know of that provides real quality WSU baseball writing on occasion is CougCenter.
If you want the most in-depth coverage possible on WSU baseball, stick around here and we'll have what you're looking for.
Only 17 more days until Cougar baseball!
