With the winter transfer window closing very soon, the big names haven't flown off the shelves like anticipated. But in like most transfers, most come during the summer, so don't expect any huge names to be transferred between now, and the closing of the window.
Some reports have come out that players like Eden Hazard, among others, will look for a transfer move in the summer instead of this winter. He will prefer a move to England, and his move to Chelsea was stalled after Blues boss Andres Villas-Boas wasn't too thrilled by his his hefty transfer fee, and Arsenal didn't want him because he is cup tied.
It looks like this winter won't even see the likes of Spurs unwanted men Giovani dos Santos, and Roman Pavlyuchenko moving to different clubs. Not even the horror that is the Carlos Tevez saga came to a close. What good could possibly come from all of this? Well, a HUGE summer window, that's what. This summer should be one of the most important, and exciting transfer windows in years past. Huge names like Gareth Bale could be moved, along with several world class players finding new homes for a lot of money. Either way, we win as fans. This transfer window hasn't been that exciting, but does it really matter? We have so much going for us right now; United is out of almost every opportunity to win silverware this year, Barcelona could be the best team in the world, but not win their own league, Bayern Munich has lost to some very poor teams, and PSG is on it's way to staging the biggest French take over since, well I guess never, but you get the point.
